Patricia Ashley is an actress as well as a Barbizon alum! She starred in the horror film NEFAS and has appeared on Disney and Nickelodeon. Read more to find out all about her!

Barbizon: Where are you from?
Patricia Ashley: I’m from Huntington Beach, California.

Did you always know you wanted to act?
I did! I always wanted to be an actress from a young age. I love being in front of the camera and I love performing.

How did you get discovered?
I went to Barbizon Orange County and after that I signed with my agent and my manager. I started out doing many commercials and then got into television.

What is your passion (besides, acting of course)?
I am a personal trainer and I’m really into staying healthy. Health and fitness are extremely important to me.

Do you think staying healthy helps with acting?
Yes, definitely. It helps with acting because you want to keep a healthy appearance and be a good role model for other girls out there.

I know you are filming a horror film titled NEFAS right now. Tell me a little bit about your character. Do you have any similarities?
In NEFAS, I play a character named Charlotte, who is very similar to myself. She is a very lovely, outgoing girl with a lot of friends and has a great relationship with her mother. Once Charlotte’s soul is taken over by a demonic spirit, her personality changes and everything about her changes. The differences start there. But before then, Charlotte is very much like me. Characters are never going to be exactly like me, so I have to do a lot of research. For NEFAS, I studied many horror and possession movies to see what I can bring to the character.

What advice would you give to younger girls following in your footsteps?
Definitely go after your dreams! Set goals and don’t stop until you reach those goals. Don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot do something. Anything is possible. You must stay positive, that’s a big factor.

What is your favorite project that you worked on?
I really enjoyed all of my Disney and Nickelodeon shows, like iCarly and Victorious. However, at my most recent project with The Neighbors in January I had a lot of fun and worked with great people.

What is your biggest fear in this type of industry?
Everyone wants to succeed and not reaching my biggest potential is sometimes scary. I will always strive for the best that I can be.

Where do you see yourself in ten years with this career?
I hope to continue my acting in movies and TV shows and continue to have a great career as an actress.
